CESSNA, forced wide going into the back stretch, engaged MISS JOKER when reaching the final turn, withstood a hard drive willingly after getting to the front and was doing her best at the end. MISS JOKER ran off a mile and a half after unseating her rider while on parade, took command soon after the start, saved ground while setting a steady pace and continued resolutely when urged. JUST A JANE moved up strongly to reach the leaders at the turn, but tired during the stretch drive. BARTON GAL was unable to threaten rcriouslv. BROADWAY MISS made up ground slowlv. STOCKWOOD quit. DISCOUNT broke in motion from outside of the gate, raced in close attendance of CATSWEEP while under steadying restraint, moved into the lead when ready and held SEMESTER safe at the end. The latter broke in a tangle, weaved his way into a forward position rapidly and came determinedly in the final drive. BARTER held a forward position all during the running and held on stoutly. CATSWEEP showed good speed while setting the pace, but tired in the last quarter mile. MOMIJI showed a good effort. BILLIE WISE raced evenly. EXHIBITION tired after five-eighths. SAM WORTHY, a strong factor early, rallied strongly to wear SILVIRIS down when straightened into the stretch, was kept under strong urging and outstayed ROSEPATH. The latter, in close quarters on the inside when leaving the bark stretch, obtained racing room when taken to the outside in the late stages and finished full of run. PAPALICO, in the thick of contention, came through on the inside entering the stretch and was oing stoutly at the end. MADFAST, slower than usual in the early stages, came around his field and finished fast. SILVIRIS was under severe pressure to set the pace and tiied in the last quarter mile. DESERT CALL forced a itiff pace and held on courageously. NIGHTS END met with slight interference early, then closed gamely when clear. WINGED FLIGHT, kept on the inside while close to the pace, moved up fast when placed to punishment ami was wearing the winner down readily after coming to the outside. SHADY WELL, closer up than usual early and going in her best form, took the lead when straightened into the stretch, but tired suddenly in the last sixteenth. GRAND UNION, away in the first flight and rated behind ASPERGE for the first three-quarters, moved to the front readily when shaken up, rallied nicely to severe pressure ncaring the end and barely lasted long enough. DARK DIANNE, shuffled back going to the first turn, raced to the outside when bettering her position and, closing strongly, was wearing the winncr down rapidly at the close. FORT DEARBORN raced ia the first flight and closed gamely under a hard drive. SASS held a prominent position all the way, hut was not good enough. NOURRICE finished with good courage. ROSESILLA showed a good effort. ASPERGE quit in the last quarter mile. JOGGLE broke slowly and was outrun. VIRADO raced Well early. Scratched 26875 Boscohel, 111. SIR BYRON raced well placed from the beginning, made a strong bid entering the stretch, but tired approaching the finish. TOLIMATA, forced wide at the first turn, came through on the inside in the last five-sixteenths and closed gamelv. BILL KENNEDY tired slowly after being overtaken. HOT SPRING closed a good gap. FAIR MINDED was outrun. VISIONARY HOUR had no mishaps.
