BLACK HAT AWARDED THIRD SALEM, N. HM June 5. After the result of the eighth race at Rockingham Park yesterday had been made official, with Long Bit the winner, Camp Parole second and Sir Thomas third, the judges examined the photograph of the finish and discovered they had erred in placing the third horse. The print showed Black" Hat to have beaten Sir Thomas for third money. As a result, holders of show tickets" on Black Hat will receive .70 each if they present their tickets at the mutuel windows today or on any subsequent date. Show backers of Sir Thomas were paid at the rate, of .10 to after the race yesterday. This action by the Rockingham Park management will cost the association approximately ,500.
