STARRY NIGHT, slow to get into her best stride, worked her way up on the outside and, closing very fast in the stretch, went on to a handy win. GAY BLADE, always prominent, could not withstand the winner. IDLE MONEY could not keep up in the early running, but made up considerable ground in the last quarter mile to finish very fast. SNICKER, showing high speed, took the lead soon after the start, was- rated, along in front to the stretch turn, where he moved away to a very easy win. SUMAC, crowded back soon after the start, raced to the outside and worked her way up gradually, but was no match for the winner. MONEY MUDDLE made up considerable ground and was going well at the end. GAY NELLIE ran in spots and seemed to tire at the end. DEVILMENT, very fractious at the start, showed no speed at any stage of the race. BROADWAY BILL can do better. Scratched 26597 Square Play, 112. BEDIGHT sprinted into a good load at once, began to shorten its stride coming to the stretch turn, had to be shaken up and was driven to the limit to stall off UPPERCUT. The latter, slow to find its best stride, worked its way up on the outside and misht have boon winner in a few more strides. MOLLY ran an impressive race, making up considerable ground and finishing well. GOLDEN EFFORT showed early speed, but tired at the end. TAMBOV ran an even race. DEAR HEART was never a contender. LUCK IN, showing plenty of speed, hung on with determination. FITKIN lacked early speed, closed up strongly entering the stretch and finished very fast. EVANGELIST alternated in pacemaking the first quarter, then tired slightly thereafter. HIGHDRY lacked speed. DINNER COAT showed speed for a quarter mile. Overweight Highdry, 5 pounds. THREE DAGGERS gained the lead alter entering the back stretch and continued gamely to the finish, but could not hold off the winner. JIM BROWN, up close to the contention all the way, made a bold bid entering the far turn, but tired slightly at the end. ITALIAN HARRY ran an even race and had no excuses. SECRET VOTE lost ground steadily until reaching the stretch turn, where he came to the outside, finishing very fast. SOUND MONEY followed the pace until leaving the back stretch, moved to the leaders and took command, but tired again in the last part. RETRIBUTION, in close quarters going to the first turn, dropped back, came again with a big rush in the stretch, but swerved down next to the inner rail to again meet trouble right at the end.
