Tempestuous, owned by Mrs. Stevenson, was left to strive for the Bryan and OHara Memorial Handicap. The camera eye to be used during the Long Branch Jockey Club meeting, beginning June 10, will be placed in position at the Lake Shore track on Saturday morning, according to Charles F. Henry. The camera will be set on transit lines and several tests made with horses in action before the correct position is settled upon. The machine to be used will be of the same type as those in use in Detroit, New York and Hialeah Park. For a sum that was not divulged Arthur Brent purchased the plater Princely Pal from W. D. Reddy and his new purchase will race in the colors of his new owner on Saturday. Charles F. Henry, who spent several days at Detroit in conference with J. A. Murphy, who will serve as director of racing for the forthcoming meeting to be staged at Thistle Down Park, near Cleveland, returned from the Motor City today. Mr. Henry announced that the list of stakes has been approved by Mr. Murphy and that the book of conditions would be sent to the printers immediately and will be released next week. E. T. Moore accepted his first mount of the meeting when he rode Baggataway in the Sixth race Friday. J. J. Farrell, who serves as placing judge on all of the tracks under the jurisdiction of the I. C. R. A., was among todays visitors. James F. OHara will present the silver trophy to the winner of the Bryan and OHara Memorial Handicap, ,500 added attraction, that will be run Saturday. The riding colony was augmented by the arrival of the eighty-five pound apprentice, F. Valee, who arrived from his home in Montreal. He is under contract to C. Robil-lard. W. J. Mclnerney, well-known racing official, who will serve during the Niagara Racing Association meeting of fourteen days at Fort Erie, is here taking in a few days of the sport as the guest of manager W. R. Woollatt. John P. Turner expects to release the condition books for the first seven days of the Niagara Racing Association meeting at Fort Erie some time next week. The book has been carefully drafted and is in the hands of the printers.
