SIS ROYAL, in nearest pursuit of the winner practically all the way, continued with determination to the close. DURWRACK raced well placed and held on stubbornly "to the close. LITTLE AUDREY, unruly at the post, made up some ground, but was never able to reach the leaders. OPOCA was never able to enter into contention. CURRANTS, well placed from the beginning, was steadied along back of the pace, moved up stoutly when called upon in the stretch and was up in .the closing strides. DIXIE PRINCESS, forwardly placed all the way, held on stoutly to the close. FRED ALMY, outpaced for the first three-eighths, came willingly thereafter. KAI HARRI, unable to keep up, saved ground in the stretch and closed some ground. BE JUST retired steadily after a brief display of early speed. MADERIS tired in the last quarter mile. ENTHUSIASM fought it out courageously the entire trip and just missed. and his rider lodged a claim of foul, but it was not allowed. SANDY BOOT, a trailer until reaching the stretch, I wore down the tiring SOBRIETY in the last few strides. VOLTA MAID, under steadying restraint while holding to a prominent position, was taken up midway down the back stretch and sent to the outside, responded gamely when nearing the stretch and wore down PAY RACK inside the last sixteenth. PAY RACK, under reserve for the First half mile, went to the front when called upon and held on with good energy when challenged, though not good enough for the winner. BYE BYE MARY was forwardly placed the entire trip. FAIRYSTREET closed a big gap. RAMUS finished with good courage and made up ground after racing far back early. SEAWICK showed a dull effort. SUN ABBOT, a trailer early, closed a good gap. LEGENDER was unable to reach contention. He broke down in the running and his rider dismounted and led him bad to the stand.
