MOSS BOND, away well, was hustled into the lead shortly after the start, saved ground all the way and held on gamely. JANE PACKARD, away well but outrun early, was forced to race wide all the way, closed gamely when straightened out in the stretch and wore down HARD BOILED in the last few strides. HARD BOILED saved ground while moving into a contending position, raced DIXIE BINDER into submission and held on well when challenged. WINDY ROSS, well placed in the early running, loomed up dangerously entering the stretch, but tired as if short. MUY PRONTO showed early speed. DIXIE BINDER quit badly. APRONETTE showed good speed in the pacemaking, shook off ALTENA on the lower turn, drew clear entering the stretch, but tired in the last sixteenth. ALTENA showed early speed. SHASTA BOY, unable to keep up early, closed with a rush on the outside and was going gamely at the end. BILLY MOLE, well placed in the early running, finished gamely under punishment. PHALAZETTA broke from outside the gate, lost ground while racing wide, made a game bid in the stretch, but tired slightly in the last sixteenth. SKY RHONDA tired in the stretch. ENRO, far back early, saved ground in the final half mile and finished gamely. POMPOHONE, away well, took a short lead on the lower turn, but was unable to keep up with LUCKY DAN and tired badly. MOVING CLOUDS forced the early pace, lost ground by racing wide and just lasted to hold the show safe from CAPTAIN LOGAN.
