" , DETR0ITS DUAL FEATURES Belle Isle Handicap and St. Clair Stakes Head Attractive Half-Holiday Program.. DETROIT, Mich., June 5. Featured by renewals of the Belle Isle Handicap and the St. Clair Stakes, the program offered at Detroit for tomorrow is one of the most attractive since the meeting opened. Thirteen sprinters, which includes Tranquillity Farms Rock X., which made the journey from Chicago, are named for the ,000 added Belle Isle, which will be decided at six furlongs, while eleven juveniles will race five furlongs for the winners portion of the ,000 added St Clair Stakes. Challite, a stablemate of Rock X., is among the field of youngsters to be under colors in the St. Clair Stakes. Opposing Rock X., in the Belle Isle is Billy Bee, under 115 pounds or one more than that allotted him. Preeminent comes next under 113 pounds and then follows Marynell under 110 pounds. Reaping, which also is named for the third race is the light weight of the field under 96 pounds. Although Rock X. will be making his seasons debut here he has played an important part in previous Detroit seasons. His battles with Marooned and Ladfield are still fresh in the memories of the local patrons and most likely he will enjoy the post of favoritism. The St. Clair Stakes is the fourth race on the program, which also includes a substitute race to be used if it is necessaryto discard one of the originals. In the event the weather remains clear, the racing strip will be at its best and a crowd rivalling that of opening day is expected.
