OMAHAS SATURDAY FEATURE Governors Handicap Principal Race at Ak-Sar-Ben Field Today Weather Threatening. OMAHA, Neb., June 5. The Governors Handicap, feature race at Ak-Sar-Ben field Saturday, is expected to be decided over an "off" track. Rain fell frequently during the Friday racing period and was expected to continue at least intermittently throughout the night. The management have the promise of Gov. Roy L. Cochran that he will attend the doings, whether the weather be wet or dry, and he will decorate the winner of the race, named in his honor. Lady Marlboro will likely be favored for the affair, which has drawn a seven-horse field. The first suspension of a jockey during the meeting came about Thursday when apprentice W. Root was set down for five days for permitting Good Mary, with which he won, to race wide in the stretch and, interfere with the other horses. Root did the same thing with Riposo, long shot winner on opening day, and got off with a warning. Under the rules of the Nebraska racing commission, any jockey suspended has his badge taken up until his suspension is terminated, and he is not allowed the privileges of the track, either day or night, for that period.
