f SUFFOLK DOWNS NOTES f fy. Lady Thirteen, a recent arrival from Kentucky in a shipment consigned to C. A. Grande, and the property of the St. Louis Stable, was sold to the Almont Stable at private terms. The plater Tight Wad was added to the list of performers to be campaigned by the Almont Stable, a locally-owned establishment. There has been fifteen claims since the opening of the Suffolk Downs meeting, First Bid being the most costly claim of the season to date. It was necessary to desposit ,500 to secure the former Calumet Farm Stable performer. The Araho Stable will ship to Chicago to rape during the Arlington Park meeting. Howard, the star of the string since the crack juvenile Jackie D. has been laid up, will be pointed for some of the Arlington fixtures.
