MUSIC AT OMAHA RACES Wednesday One of Most Colorful Days of Ak-Sar-Ben Meeting Throng Well Entertained. OMAHA, Neb., June 24. Wednesday was one of the most colorful days of the Ak-Sar-Ben summer meeting. The management entertained a large delegation of visitors from upstate and a fifty-piece band from Wayne, Neb., supplied music to enliven the proceedings. Racing secretary Bury had arranged a good card, and it seemed as if the favorites were in for a drubbing when the choices failed in the first two races. He Devil was made favorite in the opening event, which was for Nebraska-breds, but Our Spot, which recently finished second to him, reversed the order of things by beating him to the wire. Jockey W. Jackson, who has shown little at the meeting, was responsible for Our Spots win as he clearly outrode Americas leading jockey, F. Chojnacki, to take the decision. Bald Eagle finished third. Ikard and Princeton drew the bulk of the public support in the second race, but they failed dismally, neither being in the money. The event was won by Chancabit, an outsider, which was well ridden by R. McClel-lan, the four-year-old defeating the fast closing Josephine D. by inches. Twin Peaks was third. Sir Rose won his third race of the meeting when he connected in the third event. He was the first favorite of the day to win and, ably guided by W. Root, led all the way. San Ardo, an outsider, was second, and Registerite, racing for a new owner, finished third. . 4
