Norris, owner of the Peconic Stable and one of Chicagos leading turf patrons, returned from New York, where his large stable is campaigning and with a group of friends viewed Wednesdays Hawthorne sport. As it was his birthday, Thomas M. Mc-Hale, chairman of the board of the Chicago Business Mens Racing Association, was kept busy accepting the congratulations of his many friends among the racing fraternity at Hawthorne Wednesday. A. Born claimed Busy Mae for ,250 , and Amijo for ,750 out. of the fourth and seventh, races, respectively, at Hawthorne, Tuesday, Out Fjjt ajso g., slagerJiiitthe:t:fi.ey.- enth race, was claimed by J. Carter fbr-,750. - George B. McCamey, wealthy Texas turf patron and owner of the Bedford Stock Farm at Handley, Texas, is here for a short visit. He makes his home in Fort Worth. A unit of Mrs. Emil Denemarks stable, consisting of twelve head, has been moved to Arlington Park and trainer B. S. Michell will have all except those with engagements at Hawthorne Saturday, at Arlington by Friday evening. Trainer Ray Kindred had Myrtlewood, a leading contender for sprint honors; Grand Duke, Woodberry and Big Mum on their way to Arlington Park early Wednesday morning and three others left behind will be transferred Thursday.
