FAST THREE-QUARTERS Isaiah Gallops Six Furlongs at Covington in 1:11. . Photograph Determines Winner of Sinton Hotel Purse Deliberator Inches Behind. LATONIA, Ky., June 24 Running the fastest six furlongs of the current meeting, G. H. Marlmans Isaiah captured the Sinton Hotel Purse, fifth and feature event on to-j days program at Latonia. Under an energetic ride by Charley Stevenson, the six-year-old High Time horse ran the six furlongs in 1:11, though a photograph was necessary to determine him a winner over F. A. Burtons Deliberator. Mucho Gusto was third to complete the journey, while Bandalore was fourth and the six-time winner here, Camp Cook, last in the field of five." Camp Cook, moving into higher company after a successful campaign among the platers, found himself in too deep although he gave a creditable account of himself up until the final eighth, where he tired badly. Isaiah, a slight favorite over Deliberator, set a fast pace but was never able to shake off the runner-up and the two fought it out doggedly from flag fall to finish. At the end few of the large week-day crowd knew which, had won until official placings were made known. Mucho Gusto was close up for a half mile but in the stretch dropped back and finished six lengths behind the leaders. Bandalore was only a head farther back, while Camp Cook came in two lengths in their wake. DDEAL RACING DAY. The day was another ideal one for the sport though the skies were slightly overcast. The track was fast. W. W. Williamsons Sybarite, making his second start, accounted for the opening event, a run of a mile and a sixteenth, though he gave his backers some concern before he got the decision by a length. Rudenia was second after having set all the pace, while Batman was third. On the inside to the stretch Sybarite, ably ridden by C. Swain, came to the outside on the stretch and wore down Rudenia. Twelve participated. The second race, at six furlongs, furnished a shock to the favorite players when the heavily backed Jack W. failed to finish among those placed. L. K. Rogers Sadie Greenock was the winner with Schuie next and Miss Greenock third. Under J. Cowley, Sadie Greenock led from the start, though she had to be ridden furiously through the final eighth to stall off Schuie, which closed with a fine burst of speed. Jack W. had no excuses, being well up from the start. The winner was held at slightly better than 5 to 1 in the betting. CAMERA JUDGED WINNER. It took a photograph to determine the winner of the third race, and after the judges had called for a second and clearer reproduction of the picture, Mrs. Frank Swains Just Buck was declared the victor. The latter got up in a stirring stretch duel with Captain Henry, getting the decision by the barest of margins. The veteran Eddie Legere was astride the six-year-old victor, and he deserves much of the credit for his triumph. Third money went to Robert S., which finished three lengths back of the leaders, while Miss Wise was next in the field of eight. After the first quarter the winner and runner-up dominated the race with Robert S. just behind them. The winner was the betting choice. Moving to the front an eighth out, Mrs. J. L. Carricks Monon Lad accounted for the fourth, a dash of five and a half furlongs for two-year-olds. Crulia was in front from the start to the final eighth and although finishing strongly, she was not quite equal to meeting the winners bid, Monon Lad finally getting the decision by a half length. Also finishing strongly was Mary Vito, which ran third, only a head farther back. The start was poor, with Glowset being practically left at the post. A. Fernandez rode the winner.
