PENNANT BEARER broke fast, was close up for the first five eighths, dropped back on the lower turn, came on aeain in the stretch and outfinished DONNAPEEP. DONNAPEEP showed good early speed and held on well. WINSOME LASS was pinched back in the back stretch, saved ground in the last quarter mile and was going gamely at the end. "CATWALK tired badly. DONCARA threw her rider three times on the way to the post and was ordered scratched by the stewards and all monev wagered on her was refunded. CABOTIN lacked early speed, finished gamely in the last quarter and was going well at the end. HENRY DEW closed fast. SOUTHLAND TOY tired badly.
