T LAT0NIA TURF NOTES ; . ; ; and The two-year-old filly, Vinces Babe, owned by J. and G. Comello, was found dead in her stall at Latonia, Tuesday morning. Cause of her death was not immediately determined. She was by The Sirdar II. and Misfortune. The fifth and last issue of the Latonia condition book was distributed among horsemen Tuesday. It covers racing from June 26 to closing day, July 4. Jockey G. Gleason, who was injured when Dr. Menendez ran out one of the gaps at Louisville, is completely recovered. He plans to resume riding at Latonia within the next few days. Howard Wells added Pharolar, Mt. Sard, Desgai, Marica and Prince Gay to the outfit he is training. The horses arrived from Hawthorne, and jockeys J. Ridgeway and R. Dotter accompanied the shipment. Baylor O. Hickman returned-from Louisville, where he was called to attend the burial of his mother, Mrs. Stanye Hickman, who succumbed to a heart attack at her summer home in Canada. George V. Barnes reported his consistent mare Sis Alice was fired Tuesday morning and will be turned out. Trainer George Brooks, of the Shady Brook Farm Stable, shipped his charges to Arlington Park, where they will be campaigned for the next month. Tom B. Young took over the three-year-old fillies Lee Wee and Adelette to train for Sam M. Look. He is also handling Miss Canary for Look. Jimmy McGee was an arrival from Chicago and will make engagements for jockeys J. Ridgeway and R. Dotter, as well as acting as agent for Howard Wells, who has the Howard Oots and D. B. Midkiff horses in training here. The two-year-old Fritz Hallam, owned by Mrs. Charles Grayson, was unsexed Wednesday morning. It was reported by Charles Grayson who trains the horse. Dr. C. C. Cann performed the operation.
