MICKENS COLORS IN FRONT KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 24. Coming from behind in the last three-eighths, Donnacona Kid carried the colors of Mrs. C. E. Mickens to a driving victory when, at the end of five furlongs of the first race, he was a length in the van of J. B. Burn-steins Santa Marita, with Tap Time outlasting Proof for the minor portion of the purse. The winner was a mild favorite in the wagering and ran the five-eighths in the slow time of 1:02. Wednesdays racing at Riverside Park was staged under the most agreeable conditions, and while seven of the eight races had the claiming clause attached, the sport was interesting and thoroughly enjoyed by a large mid-week crowd.
