Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. THAT ONE, clear of interference," was rushed into command and, rated along steadily while saving ground, held her opposition safe in the final eighth. GUARDED QUEEN broke well and, close up throughout, was bothered by SCOTTISH MARY when the latter bumped her repeatedly in the running. SCOTTISH MARY, on the outside but close up all the way, hung at the end. STAR LOOM showed an even effort throughout. GRAMERCY was bumped badly entering the stretch. BLAZE DOR swerved under pressure entering the stretch M top of GRAMERCY. HEIGH HELEN was in close quarters after the break. BUTTER raced greenly throughout. LADY ERNE had no mishaps. Start bad and slew. Won driving; second and third easily. JOYRIDE raced fonvardly from the start, moved into command rounding the far turn and drew away, then held on gamely to outlast IIEADIN HOME. HEADIN HOME, close up from the start, came to the outside of the leaders entering the stretch and was wearing the winner down. VELVET MASK forced the pace from the start, disposed of SOCIAL ERROR and then faltered. SINGING HEART broke in motion back of his field outside the stalls. MALMAISON was weakly ridden all the way from a slow beginning. SOCIAL ERROR had no mishaps. APERITIF faltered when called upon. PARALDA had no excuses. THIRD RACE 3-4 MILE. FLYING BANNER raced forwardly all the way, moved up fast in the stretch, but was bearing in badly in the final eighth and had NIGHT WATCH in close quarters. The latter, fractious at the post, broke in motion, drew away into a sale lead while saving ground, but was tiring at the end. ETHELS CHOICE began slowly, moved up fast under urging, but faltered from its early efforts. ROYAL FLIGHT was away poorly and made up some ground. GLEAMING showed an even effort all the wav. GOLD CROSS was away poorly. WHO was in close quarters on the inside. VOLDEAR was outrun. EJECTOR and BALLEROY had no chance with the break. SGT. BYRNE was outrun in the early stages, was forced to go around the leaders entering the stretch and made up ground slowly. EMILEO was knocked back after the break.
