1 RiVER DOWNS TURF NOTES I C. A. Marone was fined 0 for being late in the paddock with Doctor C. N. in the seventh race Saturday. Jockey L. Pichon departed for Empire City, where he will ride free lance. William Hamilton stopped off en route to Kceneland from Lincoln Fields. Hamilton, one of the leading starters of America, will serve at Keeneland and Churchill Downs. Larry Bogenschutz, who concluded a tour of duty at Lincoln Fields, returned home. Epgcnschutz gees to Keeneland and from there to Arlington Downs. Another prominent official to visit Cincinnati during the week-end was Charles McLennan. He also was cn route to Keeneland, having come from Arlington Downs. Kirby Ramsey sent Jay Weil. Double B. and Gypsie Princess to Keeneland. Other stables to get away for that point were those of Tom Piatt and Miss Louise Hickman. Dusty Dawn will be returned here to fill his engagement in the East Hills. C. W. Moore and J. M. Goode also plan to ship their strings to the new Lexington track. Three horses, the property of the Kenton Farm Stable, arrived from Lincoln Fields. Jesse Spencer added Slant Eye to the consignment of horses which will be offered at auction in the River Downs paddock Thursday. Tommy Oliphant, dean of the western dockers, motored to Lexington. At the close of that meeting he goes to Churchill Downs, where he serves as paddock judge. Stake blanks for the Bowie meeting are available at the racing secretarys office. Charles A. Kenney, River Downs placing judge, notified horsemen that nominations for the 5,000 added Waggoner Memorial will close Thursday. The race is open to three-year-olds and over and will be run over one mile and a furlong. It is the richest stake of the Arlington Downs session, which gets under way Thursday, October 22.
