GOOD SELKA, on thc outside throughout and under restraint early, -moved up after reaching the stretch, but could not get to thc winner while holding m well. .MISS CANARY followed tho early pace closely while under mild restraint, was caught in close quarters after reaching thc stretch and finished well. OVERTRICK. on thc inside early while under stout restraint, moved up fast on the inside entering thc stretch, came wide to bother MISS CANARY, then faltered. BLUE BLAZER was outrun. SEALINE, away none too well, moved up fast on the inside soon after the start to take command, was shaken up severely at the stretch turn and drew out to be in hand at the end. VAN NUYS gained steadily on the outside on the turn, but was no match for the winner, while holding CHILKAT safe. The latter lacked early speed, advanced quickly on the turn while on the outside, but improved her position slowly thereafter. BALLAH showed an even effort. MARIE JEAN, confidently ridden, was rated in back of her field for three-eighths, attempted to come between horses at the stretch turn, but was cased back and taken to the outside, where she advanced very fast to win going away under steady handling. DANDY JAY, well tip from the start, was on the outside on the turn and finished in determined fashion under punishment. SKALKAHOE broke quickly, but dropped back in the run through the back stretch, was taken to the inside on the turn to move up fast, but tired in the final sixteenth. SAGE GIRL had good speed from the start under mild restraint, but tired steadily in the final drive. CRAZY JANE faltered after racing well for a half mile. Corrected weight Sage Girl, 105. INDOMITABLE was rated along in setting the pace for five-eighths, was guided well out from the rail turning into the stretch, but tired when challenged. BLACK BUDDY tired after a half mile.
