N. while galloping the juvenile Saturday morning. The lad was tossed on a "dog" near the six and one-half furlongs post He was removed to a Cincinnati hospital for a more careful examination of his injuries. Mike Hawkins, who has been announcing over the public address system hero and attracting much favorable comment, departed for Arlington Downs, where he will handle the enunciators. P. M. Sturm arrived from Beuiah Park with Bea M. and Mr. Boss. Former jockey Harry Garner, of the renowned Garner family, has been engaged to train Burland and Miss Arcadia for A. Edwards. Mrs. W. G. Kelley came down from Detroit to join her husband, who is patrol judge here. Jockey Willie Garner motored to Lexington to accept a couple of mounts Saturday, but returns here to fill engagements Monday. The veteran Earl Pool was in colors Saturday for the first time since recovering from injuries received when thrown from Whither during the Dade Park meeting. Pool Tode Dora May in the Sinton Hotel Handicap. W. H. Koepke, horsemens bookkeeper here, leaves for Arlington Downs to take over the same duties at that track. With several of the officials departing for Texas during the week-end, those remaining here until the close will take over several additional duties. William Kelly will succeed Frank Otis as clerk of the scales and placing judge and Jack Young will double as steward and placing judge. He will take the place of Charles A. Kenny, who is Charles McLennans chief assistant at Arlington Downs.
