COLTMAN began slowly, gained rapidly after going a half mile and. working his way through horses in the final quarter, was up in the final stride under strong handling. SARAH worked her way up steadily, then lost ground when forced wide entering the stretch. MISS WARD began in a sluggish manner, improved her position, steadily, took a slight lead in the last sixteenth, but hung right near the end. EPI WITCH forced the pace for most of the journey, then tired when put to pressure in the last quarter. LADY CHINIQUY displayed good early speed, set the pace for five-eighths, then tired badly. OKLAQUEEN took a slight lead in the first quarter, was hard pressed while setting the pace and held on with good courage, but was unable to withstand the winner. SIfARP THOUGHTS raced prominently for the entire trip, reached the lead momentarily in the stretch, then tired slightly. VANDA CERULEA was hard hustled for the entire journey and tired after a half jnile. MOANE KEALA quit badly. MASKED CLOWN bad no mishaps.
