I EPSOM DOWNS TURF NOTES s Clifford B. Ferguson, 19-year-old lad of Cleburne, Texas, filed application for an apprentice license with the representative of the Texas Racing Commission at Epsom Downs. The young Texan has never ridden in a race and is. under contract to W. H. Gardner. Pershall and Jamesons Allegory, which was put on starter Val Sulichs schooling list, became unmanageable while being schooled at the starting gate Monday morning, unseated his rider and ran away. Benny Creech, who is training the large stable of thoroughbreds that race for Mrs. A.
