JOENO, going in best form and in close quarters early, took command with a rush when clear in the stretch and outstayed I CHASE in game fashion. The latter worked its way up gradually on the outside and closed strongly. BLACK NOAH, never far back, showed a good effort. ALBERT BECK began sluggishly, worked its way between horses in the final quarter and closed-fast. ENCIRCLE was rushed into the lead quickly, showed speed for a half mile, then tired. The latter worked her way up on the inside, responded well to strong urging arid was getting to the winner in the closing stages. WISE PRINCESS, slow to get going and far back for three-eighths, improved her position rapidly thereafter and finished strongly. BRAXTON BELL raced prominently throughout. HIGH EXPLOSIVE was well up throughout and had no excuse. CASANARD tired after showing speed for three-quarters. QUEENS BEST tired.
