ROYAL TREASURE, away well, dropped back entering the back stretch, finished gamely in the final quarter, but was not good enough. MUSCLE IN saved ground entering the stretch and closed well. ENIZ, poorly handled, was far back in the early running and finished on her own courage. OFF DUTY moved up fast after going a half mile, then tired. WILD WEST went well for a half mile. DAVID W. broke fast, was taken under restraint for the first half mile, moved up fast on the lower turn, took command entering the stretch, drew away and was easing up at the end. CHEHALIS, far back early, closed with a rush on the outside in the final quarter mile and was going well at the end. BUBBLE UP lacked early speed, worked his way up between horses and finished fast. GENERAL BOY forced the early pace under restraint, but tired in the final eighth. ST. MICA tired badly after going a mile. POTION also tired. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. DEE DEE W., reserved off the pace, saved ground on the lower turn, assumed a short lead in the stretch, held on gamely in the drive and just failed to last. POTTERTON raced well placed in the early running, closed gamely in the stretch, but hung near the end. TEXAS MOON was outrun. GREAT CHANCE closed gamely. ST. CARL quit badly.
