BLUE BONNETS TURF NOTES j T. Longs aged campaigner Tuffy G. pulled " up very sore after his performance in the sixth race Tuesday, and will be on the shelf for some time. Apprentice A. Page was suspended for the balance of the meeting for failure to keep his mount straight leaving the backstretch while astride the juvenile Blue Ebony in the third race Tuesday. Apprentice Don Grant accepted his first mount of the meeting when he piloted Sun Voter in the sixth event Wednesday. C. N. Withers Phildia pulled up sore after being worked half a mile Wednesday morning. Apprentice B. Herold, under contract to F. Hausman, accepted his first mount of the meeting when he piloted ,Mr. Boss for his employer in the fourth race. The management of Blue Bonnets added 00 to the purse of the steeplechase event bringing the purse to 00 value. They also added 00 to the original seventh event in the condition book but the event failed to fill. The Island Stables seven-year-old gelding Done For, pulled up very sore after being galloped a quarter of a mile this morning. Acajou, Lumberer and Stockwood, of the stable of trainer Rod Arbique and oligibles for the Quebec Kings Plate, worked together five furlongs Wednesday morning and Acajou showed the most favor for the going.
