Won easily; second and third driving, PRINCE PEST, raced wide and a factor from the start, was under strong restraint for a half mile, took command gradually and, without need of strong urging, came away steadily in the final eighth. JASCHA forced the early pace under light reserve, readly submitted to the winner and, after holding on well to the . last sixteenth, tired but outstayed PAT W. The latter, forced to lose much ground, finished with determination in a good effort. ITO began to falter after reaeching the last three-sixteenths. CANNONS ROAR was on the outside throughout. FLIGHT OF GOLD, shuffled back early, lacked speed when clear. BLIND SAGE began slueeishly. GRAY ETHEL, -hustled into command,- saved ground after the opening quarter, was ! shaken up soon after reaching the stretch and tired in the final eighth, but stalled off JAY D. The " latter, under "mild restraint for a half mile, challenged gamely in the final eighth, but tired in the closing strides. WILD PLAY, well up from the start and forced to lose much ground in the early racing, was under strong riding in the final quarter and held on well. BOHEMIAN LASS, jostled about soon after the start and slow to recover, came with good delayed courage in the stretch but could not get up. TINSEL LADY also finished fast. BUSSE TRUMPET, lucky to keep up as the winner came oyer in the first three-sixteenths, saved much ground and under strong pressure held on well through the final quarter. CJJCKOO, forced to lose ground, closed resolutely in a good effort and outfinished BARBARA S. The latter had no mishaps and also held on with good courage. EP, under strong reserve, early, moved up only mildly In the stretch and tired near the end. SAFE AND. SOUND, raced wide throughout, finished with good speed. SIR GAWAINE, on the inside much of the race, was held safe at all times. SLIM ROSIE showed good speed to the stretch, then quit. SNEAKIN .suffered a hard fall while at the post. BLUEFIELD, probably much the best and having the most speed from the start, was racing in easy command when she bore out badly on the stretch turn, came again strongly when straightened and swerved to the inside when tiring in the final eighth, but withstood the bid of CROSS KEYS. The latter, on the t inside throughout, neared the lead as the winner went wide, rallied to make a game challenge in the final eighth, but could not get up. LENPOLA, well up from the start, bore out when placed to energetic riding in the stretch, but held on well. FANCY THAT raced evenly. REAL PLAY, a sharp factor from the start and forced wide by the winner on the stretch turn, dropped back suddenly when straightened and did not threaten thereafter, though finishing well. AMERICAN PRINCE, allowed to remain out of it and raced wide, began to move up when approaching the stretch and, closing with good delayed speed under strong handling, wore down the leaders while holding REPAID safe. The latter, taken back repeatedly and unable to get through on the stretch turn, worked his way clear when nearing the final eighth and finished resolutely. MARDROMEL, raced wide, bettered his position gradually but tired in the drive. SCATTER BRAIN took command easily on the stretch turn and continued well to the last eighth, where he faltered. AERIALIST had a rough trip. COLIGNY showed speed to the stretch turn, then tired badly, but the effort may benefit him. Scratched 42531aSaracen, 115. Overweight Coligny, 1 pound. LIVE ONE, a factor from the start and forced to lose ground on the far turn, failed to seriously menace the winner when holding on well under pressure, and barely failed to withstand the rush of WHICHAWAY. MINTON showed a good effort. MY-PONNE saved much ground.
