I AQUEDUCT TURF NOTES T v Leonard Hayman, president of the Turf Employees Association, was discharged from St. Lukes Hospital and is now convalescing at a Jersey resort. He expects to return to activity within the next two weeks. Peter Christiansen arrived from California and will remain for the rest of the season. Eddie Haywad shipped Gean Canach arid two others to Saratoga for the Peconio Stable to be freshened up for that meeting. Trainer Bill Brennan of the Greentree Stable reported that thirty yearlings arrived at the farm in Redbank, N. J., from Lexington, Ky. The youngsters are homebreds. In lodging his complaint in the first race jockey R. Workman alleged that Irish Moon bothered Four Bagger, forcing him over on his mount. Coucci when questioned expressed the opinion that Irish Moon was clear when she came over. The Jockey Club Breeding Bureau acquired the stallion Royal Guard, by Light Brigade, and he will be shipped to the Gen-eseo Valley for stud purposes. R. C. Hoffman and his family, of Ventura, Calif., are visitors. He has extensive breeding interests in California and will leave, next week for Europe to inspect breeding farms. Before the running of the first race Wednesday, T. J. Healey breezed The Dauber and Xavier, owned by C. V. Whitney. They galloped along six furlongs in 1:16 with The Dauber finishing far in the lead. Funeral services for James Kelly were held Wednesday morning and interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn. James Fitzsimmons will ship a half dozen horses owned by the Wheatley and Belair Stables to Delaware Park for that meeting. Jockey M. Sarno was fined 00 for failing to keep a straight course through the stretch with the horse Monument in the sixth race Tuesday.
