WISE PRINCE IN THRILLER Hightshoe Completes Double Astride Sandtola. Racer i Speed Handicap at Rockingham Park. SALEM, N. H, June 21 FtMx Spatolas Wise Prince drove to and thrilling victory in the Speed Handicap, JSQQ added dash which featured the first sunny afternoon of the Hockingham Park meeting. Ridden by Ray - Eights hoe, who was scoring a double, he came from behind the paceofW.C. Stroubes Bay Bubble in the final eighth to beat the Bubbling Over filly by a length. Arahos Mucho Gusto, favorite in the field of half a dozen, finished third after meeting interference at the three-eighths post that cost him -whatever chance he might have had in the race. Lady Higloss was fourth. The only other starters were Marmara and Ned Reigh. They finished as named. The latter was in the race mainly for a workout. He was sent seven furlongs, dockers- catch- ing the work as follows: Jli, :49, 1:13 and 1:26. The winner completed the five and a. half furlongs la 1:053 over a track that was fast, though still a bit dull-Bay Bubble, who was also second in the Speed Handicap last year, began very fast aad assumed the lead a few yards from the start. She showed the way down the back stretch by better than a length, with the winner and Mucho Gusto after her. The latter was cut off when making his bid three-eighths out and had to take up rather sharply. Wise Prince was within half a length of the leader as they straightened eut, passed him .before the sixteenth grouadL was reached and drew out after that. Bay Bubble had little trouble in staving off Mucho Gusto, who was beaten when he could not get clear on the far turn. Lady Higloea gained some ground in the stretch,, but never figured seriously. Neither did the others. A beautiful day brought a large crowd for the mid-week sport.
