GOLD STEP saved ground all the way, but was unable to keep up with the leaders. PICKARD had no excuse. DON GOMEZ lacked early speed. TEXAS TECH moved up with a rush to displace ETHYLN entering the back stretch, opened, up a commanding lead quickly, but was unable to withstand the challenge of the winner. ETHYLN came over sharply soon after the start, set the pace for a quarter, then tired. BAND QUEEN was unable to keep up in the early stages. AMO JAY made up some ground. MIRA SERVANT had 110 mishaps.
