JAPANESE REJECT PROTESTS TOKIO, Japan, Nov. 15. Japan today flatly rejected American, British and French protests over the closing of the Yangstze river to traffic. Reopening of the stream is "not warranted," a foreign office spokesman said, since commercial navigation would seriously hamper military operations.
