JACOLA SPARKLES AT LAUREL Accounts for Three Stake Races During 2 5 -Day Meeting. Wins 0,725 and Tops Big Hurry Despite Latters 5,890 Purse in SeUma Stakes. Horsemen split 97,030 among them during the twenty-five days of sport at Laurel Park, from October 1 to October 29. This made an average daily outlay of 1,881 by the Laurel organization. One hundred and eighty-seven races were run, and favorites won 36 per cent of them. With Jacola taking the measure of Sea-biscuit in the Laurel Stakes and then adding the Maryland Handicap and Washington Handicap to her triumphs to dominate the meeting, the brilliant daughter of Jacopo La France was the leading money-gleaner of the session, with 0,725, and put Mrs. E. Friendly, her owner, on top of the owners list with the same amount. The Selima Stakes was the richest race of the meeting, worth 5,890 to E. R. Bradley, whose Big Hurry was the winner, but Jacola won three stakes and thereby topped her younger rival. L. Dupps rode twenty-four winners to lead the riders, and H. G. Bedwell saddled seven winners to tie L. J. Schaefer for training laurels. Following are the owners whose horses won ,900 or more: Owner. 1st. 2nd. 3rd. Amt. Friendly, E 4 0 0 0,725 Bradley, E.
