PHARSALIA SET BACK Jockey R. Nash Fined 00 and Suspended for Disqualification. Sargazo Awarded First Place With Holluschickie and Forever Prince Second and Third Respectively. PAWTUCKET, R. I., Nov. 15 Ronnie Nash, who was astride Tiberius when disqualified a few days ago, had the mount on the Sanford Stud Farms Pharsalia, which after being home first in the Roxury Purse, at a mile and a sixteenth, was set back. Under the revised placing, A.E. Silvers Sargazo was given first money. He finished half a length back of the disqualified winner, and was coupled in the betting with Cisneros. Mrs. P. A. Shaws Holluschickie was placed second and R. C. Groffs Forever Prince third. The foul, occurred at the sixteenth ground. Pharsalia bolted into Sargazo, knocking that horse off stride. Sargazo almost wenti to his knees. Ashcroft did not claim the I foul. The stewards themselves flashed it the moment the field had passed the wire. Pharsalia made all the pace in the event, He was beginning to tire badly in the stretch as Sargazo charged alongside him, and he bolted suddenly into Sargazo knocking him back and making him stumble. After that he went on to finish first. Sargazo, once he had regained his balance, finished gamely. Today was the second of the two charity days at Narragansetts extended meeting. -Mrs. H. M. Hartmans Sure Cloud moved up on the turn, took the lead at the eighth post and drew off in the final sixteenth to win the fourth event by two and one-half lengths over Mrs. M. F. Caseys Moons Mission. Mrs. P. S. P. Randolph, Jr.s Silver Trace was third, a neck back of the runner-up and a head in advance of Mixed Weather. Moons Mission and Sure Cloud fought the pace battle all the way. Moons Mission held the lead until they were at the stretch, Where Sure Cloud went past and drew away. Ronnie Nash was astride the victor and the race marked a double for him. Sure Cloud went in 1:12. Rebuttal with Jimmy Lynch in the saddle, took the lead rounding into the back stretch, piled up a big lead and was only mildy rid-1 j den out to win the one mile and a sixteenth ; race by a length and a half over the favor-j I ite, L. F. Andersons Grand Jester. Almac j was three lengths off the runner-up in third place. Kindred Spirit was fourth. Ernie Manzer took the lead going into the clubhouse turn but was unable to stave off Rebuttals early bid. The latter opened up a four-length lead while Ernie Manzer began to drop back with Grand Jester weaving his way through the field. By the time they had reached the stretch Grand Jester had the place award tied up and was finishing well but was no match for the winner. Thatch, a "good thing" in the race, broke down badly after going a half mile. j j
