SANTA ANITA TURF NOTES t Former jockey Albert Johnson, in charge of the Bing Crosby horses, has taken up Rocci, Sweet Leilani, Scapose and the stake winning High Strike, which have been inactive since the recent Del Mar meeting. High Strike is richly engaged in the impending stakes at Santa Anita, and is a candidate for the 00,000 Santa Anta Handicap. Tommy Cummings has been appointed trainer of the horses of Lloyd and Brodine, and has taken over the following performers: Carla Mar, Rain Cheer, Roi Borgia and Simba Sue. Cummings developed the horse Monsweep, raising him from the claiming ranks to the handicap division. Trainer J. McDowell reports the six-year-old mare Atlante ready to return to her regular training routine. The daughter of Queamo, imported from the Argentine, underwent the firing process.
