ALL SAVED AS PILOT BOAT SINKS NORFOLK, Va., Dec. 1. The Baltimore pilot boat William B. Tanner sank in fifty-five feet of water eighteen miles southeast of Cape Henry today after colliding with the British freighter Liverbank. The twenty-two men aboard the pilot boat were saved. No one was injured by the collision, which occurred as the Tanner was taking on board pilots from the Liverbank bound out from Baltimore. The freighter transferred all on the pilot boat to its decks as the Tanner sank. A coast guard boat took the rescued men aboard when it reached the scene of the collision and brought them ashore. The Liverbank turned back to Baltimores port.
