POLK LAFFOON IMPROVES CINCINNATI, Ohio, Dec. 1. The condition of Polk Laffoon, prominent member of the Kentucky Racing Commission, vice-president and secretary of the Cincinnati Gas and Electric Company, was reported very much improved Thursday by attaches of Holmes Hospital, where he was ordered Wednesday when his attending physician found him to be suffering from a heavy cold. He is expected to be back at his desk in a few days.
