FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES f J e Two more horses were added to the string Bruce Mclntire has at the Fair Grounds for Col. Phil T. Chinn. The newcomers are the three-year-old filly Zacayam and an unnamed yearling lilly by Hi-Jack Rolling Wave. They came from Lexington, Ky. A trainers license was granted, to Fred Young, New Orleanian, and he took over the training of his own horses, which formerly were conditioned by Earl Vince. The outfit consists of Miss Ivory, All Night, Lemira and Magnolia Cash. Teague Pichon, local member of the clocking brigade, is confined to his home with an attack of influenza. When he recovers sufficiently Pichon will leave for Santa"Anita, where he will remain throughout the winter. The sprinter Very Much, owned by W. Williams, has been turned over to Julius Myers to train for the remainder of the Fair Grounds meeting. Jockey Tommy Murphy and apprentice August Sylvester are the latest to be granted licenses to ply their profession by the Louisiana Jockey Club stewards. H. H. Brown, whose horses arrived from Narragansett more than a week ago, came in from Chicago and assumed charge of the stable. Apprentices W. Kelly and K. Greever accepted their initial mounts of the Fair Grounds season Thursday afternoon.
