MICHIGAN FLYER FAVORITE Joe W. Brown Two-Year-Old Likely Choice for Biloxi Handicap Saturday at New Orleans. NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec. 1. Michigan Flyer, whose two victories since the Fair Grounds season got under way a week ago have stamped him one of the best two-year-olds on the scene, stands out as the logical favorite for Saturdays running of the Biloxi Handicap, the first feature of the meeting for juveniles. In two performances since he arrived in New Orleans, Michigan Flyer, which is owned by Joe W. Brown of this city, turned back some of the smartest young racers here and he immediately became "the horse to beat," when trainer J. B. Theall I added his name to the list of nominations for the Biloxi Handicap. Michigan Flyer, bred in Louisiana, already has defeated some of those he is scheduled to oppose this week-end, but there are several he will be facing for the first time here this winter. Two of these are E. E. Irbys Torch Stick, winner of her only four starts this year, and Joji T., recently purchased by Leo Beyda. Joji T. won six races this year, including the Lafayette Handicap here last winter. Some of the other two-year-olds nominated for the Biloxi, which will be decided at six furlongs for a ,500 purse, are Bright, Patrol Scout, Street Arab, My Shadow and Sherry B. The Oaks Handicap, a test of a mile and a sixteenth for three-year-olds and upward, also begins to stack up as an interesting affair, some of those likely to be seen under colors in it being Dnieper, Whipowill, Wood-lander, Gato, Eastport, OBantam and Cat-omar.
