WINN GOING TO NEW YORK Col. Matt Winn is leaving Chicago Saturday for New York, where he will confer with James Butler, Jr., owner of Empire City and Laurel. Colonel Winn will remain in New York for one week, after which he will return to Chicago. One of Americas most famous turf figures, the genial colonel is hale and hearty despite his advanced age and looks forward eagerly to the 1939 running of the Kentucky Derby, a race which he has brought to the top of all stake races in this country.
