ANTI-FRENCH DEMONSTRATION ROME, Italy, Dec. 7. Two thousand five hundred Germans from three steamers which arrived in Naples today from Palermo joined several thousand Italian students in an anti-French demonstration as a wave of Italian annexationist manifestations swept through Italian cities. French consulates in Rome and other Italian cities were heavily guarded as crowds of black-shirted students shouting for Italian annexation of Tunis and Corsica marched through the streets of Naples, Florence, Pisa and Perugia. Similar demonstrations took place yesterday in Rome, Turin and Genoa. The largest of todays demonstrations was at Naples, where the throng of students was joined by Germans from the steamers Der Deutsche, Ozeana and Sierra Cordoba. The students cried out for Italian annexation of Tunis, Corsica, Nice and Djibuti as they marched through the streets of the port to the French consulate, where they were met by a heavy guard of regular I troops.
