POLLY HASTINGS had good speed from the beginning, was hard ridden after a half mile, bore over on LISTARO and just failed to last. ADOLF, steadied along, for about three-eighths, was vigorously handled thereafter and closed strongly. PRINCE FELLOW, hustled along from the beginning, came out for the drive and closed fairly well. METAURUS, never far back, began moving up on the outside after a quarter, wore down JUST AHEAD inside the last eighth and held CHIPETA safe. The latter, hustled along from the beginning, saved ground, got through on the inside entering the stretch and closed strongly. GAME, a sharp factor from the beginning, was put to a drive after reaching the stretch and held on fairly well. JUST AHEAD made the pace in hand, responded to urging after a half mile, held on well to the last eighth and then tired. BIRDS EYE had no mishaps. RED GO was through early. TWINKLE FEET followed the pace with-out need of strong urging, was hard ridden the last quarter and held on fairly well. UNION, outrun for !a half mile, lost ground entering the stretch and closed strongly. TRIPLE PLAY raced wide. MISS DAMARA had no mishaps. MAYSTICK had speed for a quarter and then was through. FLUKE failed to rally when called upon after three-eighths. WENT TO POST 3:27J. AT POST 24 minutes. Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. BRIGHT, away fast but taken back off the pace and held in reserve for the final quarter, moved around the leaders with a rush when straightened out in the stretch and drew out to win with something in reserve. ZACABOX forced the pace for a half mile, disposed of BOLD FAY on the final turn, assumed a slight lead, but was unable to hold his advantage. JAMES dropped back soon after the start, worked his way up gradually and finished well. SET PAT was taken back on the far turn and made up some ground in the stretch. BOLD FAY, hard hustled from the start, set a stiff pace for a half mile, then tired badly. BAD DAY lacked early speed. LINTER was never a factor. Scratched 69092 JDomanio, 115; 691673My -Shadow, 112. WANDEROBO, never far out of it, got through on the inside all of the way, but was unable to menace the winner and tired in the late stages. ESCOLEE, slow to settle into her best stride, was sent through on the inside and closed a good gap. BOY VALET was forced to lose much ground throughout. DEAR ME made up some ground in the stretch. POKEAWAY, away slowly, rushed up fast to take command on the first turn, was steadied Wong while making the pace, held on well to the last eighth and then tired. STRAIGHT THRU, never far back and in hand for three-quarters, raced a trifle wide on the stretch turn and held on fairly well. HOLL IMAGE rallied only mildly when roused after three-quarters.
