EDENS TRIP TO NEW YORK LONDON, England, Dec. 7 Anthony Edens trip to New York, where he is to deliver an address, was the subject of a brief discussion today in the House of Commons. Laborites asked a number of sarcastic questions, and Geoffrey Mander, Liberal, aroused laughter when he demanded: "Isnt the government obviously very much relieved that Mr. Eden has left the country?" Interpolations by Laborites recalled Edens past differences with the government, which led to his resignation as foreign minister. Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain ended the discussion by backing up a previous declaration by Foreign Secretary Viscount Halifax that Edens trip to the United States had the full "consent and approbation" of the government.
