A roof extends over the club enclosure. A new main entrance to the grandstand is included in the extensive improvements made to Santa Anita Park. It is centrally located, with covered ticket windows and is directly in line with the ornamental fountain in the enlarged paddock gardens. A new covered saddling paddock fronts the walking, ring and is accessible to all parts of the park for the pre-race activities. The infield, a favorite vantage point to view the races by many spectators, has a new floral motif this season. It has benches and walkways, and is reached by a tunnel from the grandstand terrace.
