Decline in Unemployment, Daily Racing Form, 1938-12-14

DECLINE IN UNEMPLOYMENT WASHINGTON, D. C, Dec. 13. The American Federation of Labor reported that its surveys showed that unemployment declined 80,000 during November, continuing a decrease begun last July. Unemployment dropped from 10,465,000 in October to 10,375,-000 in November, the report said. The figure was the lowest thus far this year. The high point of unemployment was 11,445,134 in July.
