I TANFORAN TURF NOTES f 4 George W. Schilling, presiding steward at Caliente, is expected at Tanforan this week. R. L. Lott, trainer for J. W. McClatchie, shipped seven head to Santa Anita last week. The animals are Xenomay, Kievan, Demonstrator, Red Bluffer, Gay Star, Tres Amigos and Klister. The latter was recently claimed from Joe Cohen. Guy Owens has fired the California-bred two-year-old Rich Son and the youngster will be away from the races for some time. T. H. Nesbit recently fired the veteran Nappus for a leg ailment. Nesbit reports that the two-year-old Hollywood Czar is back in training and he hopes to have him ready for the opening of Santa Anita. Jockey J. Boucher, who was painfully injured in an automobile accident recently, has been discharged from the hospital and was a recent visitor at Tanforan. Apprentice Jack Robertson, who suffered a punctured lung in a spill early in the Bay Meadows meeting and whose life was despaired of for a time, is now able to take short walks. He is living with his brother, jockey Willie Robertson, at Lomita Park.
