MISS HOLLYWOOD worked her way out of close quarters in the run through the back stretch, gained command on the inside when the leaders went wide straightening out for the stretch run and, gaining the lead, drew out steadily in the last eichth. PRIMER had speed from the start, was hard urged in disposing of CONSISTENT and was unable to go along with the winner in the closing test. PASSABLE, slichtly reserved for the first three-eighths, went into contention with a rush, but was unable to close any ground during the last three-sixteenths. COSMIC PRINCE, unable to keep up early, moved around on the outside midway of the turn, loomed up threateningly, but was unable to better his. position to any great extent during the last quarter mile. BOSTON PAL, under stout restraint while following along in pursuit of the pace, raced to the front with a rush and drew out steadily during the stretch run. ERECH moved up fast when nearing the stretch and held on willingly to the close, but was no match for the winner during the closing test. SAILORMAN moved up gradually and closed with good courage. GRACE GRIER closed a big gap after being outrun early. VEIL-STAR was unable to reach the leaders under punishment, although losing considerable ground on the stretch turn. LADY WEAVER tired. FIVE O FIVE, under slight reserve while moving up steadily on the outside, readily wore down SUN KIT while drawine out fast inside the last thirty yards. SUN KIT moved up fast in the opening sixteenth, gained the lead swinging from the back stretch, opened up a clear lead and, while holding on well, was unable to cope with the closing challenge of the winner. DEEP SUMMER was well placed all the way and held on willingly under pressure. SUN PATTY, reserved early, went wide on the stretch turn and closed with good energy.* AIR ACTRESS, in closest pursuit of the early pace, saved ground all the way and tired through the last eighth. CURRANTS, under slight restraint while following along in closest pursuit of the pace, moved up on the outside of the leader when reaching the stretch, responded gamely and, taking command after passing the eighth post, drew out steadily and was clear at the line. EVA R. lacked speed to keep the pace early and was outrun for the first half mile, swung to the outside and finished in determined fashion, getting up in the concluding stride to wear down FREE AGAIN. The latter, quickest to begin, drew clear after rounding the far turn, made a determined effort to go along with the winner when challenged and just failed to last for the place. DREEL, slightly reserved early, was unable to close any ground when placed under punishment. LADDIE STONE raced to the leaders in the first three-sixteenths, saved ground at the stretch turn, faltering during the closing eighth. GOOD OMEN tired. MANSCO, a trailer until reaching the stretch, closed a good gap, getting up in the last few strides to wear down COOLING SPRING. The latter saved considerable ground entering the stretch, but was unable to better his position under punishment during the last sixteenth. UNEASY faltered after going the first three-eighths. The latter moved to the leaders steadily in the run through the back stretch, took commaild when called upon, drew clear and, despite holding on stubbornly, was not quite good enough. OBANTAM trailed his field until reaching the stretch, came through on the inside and closed with a rush. CASH O BOY was moving up boldly on the inside after rounding the far turn, was blocked by. POLLY HASTINGS and forced to take up. GENIE PALATINE lost ground racing on the outside throughout. WILLIAM PALMER tired in the last five-sixteenths. TIME CLOCK dropped back nearing the turn into the back stretch, moved up stoutly nearing the far turn and, despite being under intermittent punishment, was unable to reach the leader and pulled up lame. WITCHSWALL, far back until the last five-sixteenths, came determinedly under hard urging and was along in the closing stride to wear down TRAGGAT. The -latter improved his position gradually on the outside, was placed under punishment and was unable to close any ground during the stretch drive. FLAG SONG saved ground entering the stretch and made up some ground.
