DI MAGGIO IN HOSPITAL NEW YORK, N. T., May 1— Joe DiMaggio, star outfielder, didnt accompany his team on their Western trip, remaining behind in a hospital bed. DiMaggio tore muscles from the tibia bone, inside and outside the right ankle, when he fell chasing a drive in Saturdays game. Dr. Walsh, club physician, ordered him to the hospital when telephone calls and visitors disturbed the Yanks star rest in his hotel room. * i
