FINE JOCKEY WHITING 5 AGUA CALIENTE, Mex., May 1— Jockey Lloyd Whiting won the sixth race on Mullen and Hannahs Quick Cloud, but it cost him 5 when he failed to keep his mount straight in the stretch. The officials imposed j the fine when the veteran reinsman failed to give a satisfactory explanation - when called to task for allowing his mount to swerve. It was the first time since coming here that Whiting incurred the wrath of the officials.
