Stock; bred by Mr. L. Jones. Winner entered to bo claimed for ,000. WENT TO POST— 5:37. AT POST— 4 minutes. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. CROSS RUFF, steadied along while saving ground the first five-eighths, began to move up after going to the outside on the second turn, closed boldly, took command in the final sixteenth and held RITZ BROTHERS safe. The latter began to work his way up after about five-eighths, secured room between horses in the stretch and finished with good courage under fine handling. LABOR DAY raced into contention gradually when in stride, was placed to pressure after reaching the last three-eighths and held on well to the last sixteenth. ISOLENE made the pace under good rating, but failed to stay when the real test came. LASSIE FLO had no mishaps. WINGED VICTORY tired in the stretch. BUTTER, on the inside throughout, began slowly and was never a formidable factor.
