I NARRAGANSETT PARK NOTES | $ — ■ * Be Blue, winner of the Spring Handicap and candidate for Saturdays Bristol Handicap, worked three-eighths in :34%, and breezed a half in :48% Friday morning. Other candidates which worked Friday morning included Early Delivery, three-eighths in :3G%; Infidox, three-eighths in :37; Clodion, one-quarter in :24, and Pagliacci, just off the train Thursday, three-eighths in :36%. j W. A. "Doc" Crawford, head trainer for "Willis Sharpe Kilmer, has sent apprentice J. Harrell to ride for Elmer Trueman, who has part of the Kilmer string here. The boy bad the first mount of his career on Paddys Sister here Friday afternoon. Harrell is 18, was born in Georgia and sold newspapers in Miami before going to work for Crawford. Jockey Frank Maschek, who rode Nutty to win the third race Thursday, lost his gold bridge during the race and is offering a reward of 0 to any of the track crew who may find it. The bridge fell out as Maschek drove the colt through the home stretch. J. H. Webb has taken over the training of Prospectus, Ferdinand and Erins Sun, owned by*J. H. Carr. Apprentice Merrill Packer arrived from the West Coast Friday morning. He has been leased to Mrs. Floyd West for the balance of the New England season. He rides at 100 pounds and won his first race March 26 of this year at Agua Caliente.
