"MURDER FOR INSURANCE" CASE PHILADELPHIA, Pa., May 5.— With eighteen persons already under arrest, homicide squad detectives today widened their investigation into Philadelphias bizarre "murder for insurance" conspiracy. Arrest of Gaetano Cignato, 45, an insurance agent, marked a new and sensational turn in police investigation of more than 100 mysterious deaths in north and south Philadelphia in the last eight years. Detectives have hinted the ringleaders of the poison plot connived with some physicians and insurance men to cover up suspicious deaths of heavily-insured persons.
