J. C. CAHN TRAINED TYPHOON II. LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 5.— One of the surviving trainers of a Kentucky Derby winner who achieved the glory away back in the 90s, can be found daily at Churchill Downs, and not infrequently gazing at the panel bearing the name of Typhoon II. He is Julius C. Cahn who no doubt finds a deep satisfaction in having been one of the men who trained and saddled a thoroughbred competent of mastering the best three-year-olds of his year. It has been 42 years since Typhoon II. gained the lasting renown of a Derby winner, but fond memories still linger with Cahn.
